This is a Spotted Apatelodes, or (Apatelodes torrefacta). This one was caught at Adam's house in mid-August. The Spotted Apatelodes is described by Covell as being common, and we encounter it with regularity. It is a small moth, and it resembles a sphinx.

The Spotted Apatelodes feeds on Ash, maple, and oak.
